FireRed Hacks
Pokemon FireRed is the original game behind these projects. Using it as a base does not mean a hack takes place in Kanto or follows the original story. Compare each project's region, features and release notes before playing.

01
A base game, not a setting
This collection groups projects that modify Pokemon FireRed. It is narrower than the GBA category, which can also include projects based on other games. A FireRed base does not require the finished adventure to use Kanto, the original characters or the same progression.
02
Compare the journey and mechanics
A FireRed-based project may introduce a new region and storyline, change the battle rules or add optional missions. Compare those features with the experience you want. Read release notes separately to understand which additions are playable and whether optional content has known limitations.
03
Match the creator's instructions
The original game revision and the hack version matter when applying a patch. Follow the project documentation and match its instructions to your edition. External download links do not grant permission to redistribute copyrighted material.
